ACADEMION International Seminar on the scientific and intellectual project of Professor Dr. Hassan Mahmoud Al-Shafi'i
The International Institute for ACADEMIA Training organizes a global symposium titled "The Scientific and Intellectual Project of Professor Dr. Hassan Mahmoud Al-Shafie, winner of the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam 2022". The symposium will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, 29/6/1443 AH, corresponding to 1/2/2022 AD, via live broadcast on Zoom and the ACADEMIA channel on YouTube, and will be broadcast at 8 PM Riyadh time.
Participating in the symposium is a distinguished group of intellectuals and pioneers of science in various fields, starting with a presentation by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdelhalim Said, holder of the King Fahd Chair for Islamic Studies at the University of London, and Director of the Islamic Studies Center at SOAS University of London, with his lecture titled "Hassan Al-Shafie as a PhD Student at the University of London in Service to Islam".
Also participating is Professor Dr. Abdel Hamid Abdel Moneim Madkour, Professor of Islamic Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University and Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy, with his lecture titled "The Efforts of Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Shafie in Textual Criticism and Analysis".
The symposium is distinguished by the participation of Professor Dr. Yumna Tarif Al-Khouli, Professor of Philosophy of Science and former Head of the Philosophy Department at Cairo University, with her lecture titled "The Scholar Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Shafie.. A Teacher and a Landmark".
Then, Professor Dr. Youssef Al-Ayashi Al-Kalam, Professor of Creed and Comparative Religions at Al-Qarawiyyin University, founder of the Dar Al-Hadith Al-Hassania in Rabat, Morocco, will participate, with the topic "The Doctrinal Legal Principles of the Scholar Hassan Al-Shafie: An Introduction to Resuming Discourse in Theology".
Professor Dr. Faisal Abdul Salam Al-Hafian, Project Manager at the Manuscripts House in Istanbul and former Director of the Arabic Manuscripts Institute in Cairo, will also participate, with the topic "Al-Shafie as a Poet of Linguistic and Artistic Techniques".
In addition, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Makhdoum, PhD in Strategic Planning for Non-Profit Organizations and Regional Director of the Muslim World League Office in London, will participate with the topic "The King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam in the years 2019-2022".
The committee will be opened by Dr. Mishal bin Yasin Al-Mahlawi, Deputy of ACADEMIA Institute, in addition to the management of the symposium by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Sharqawi, Professor of Islamic Philosophy, Comparative Religions, and Oriental Studies at the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University.
It is worth mentioning that the symposium is a significant effort by specialists from the International Institute for ACADEMIA Training and coordinated by ACADEMIA Ambassador Dr. Sonia Ahmed Maleki, and an open discussion will be held at the end of the symposium.
